South Melbourne Dental Group is a private general dental practice established since 1920 and is one of Melbourne’s longest operating dental clinic. Nestled amongst period architecture typical of the neighbourhood, the practice operates from a heritage-listed building on the quaint corner of Park and Cecil street.

We are proudly a privately-owned and run business, not part of a corporate business group. This means you will receive personal treatment and dentists that really care for your dental health. 

For over 95 years, we have provided quality dental service to the community and enjoy seeing generations of families return for treatment. We also welcome new patients and referrals. Our aim is to provide excellent dental care whilst maintaining a relaxed atmosphere for your comfort. We believe that prevention is better than cure which is why we encourage routine dental examinations to detect dental diseases early.

We are preferred providers for a number of health funds including CBHS, Bupa, Medibank Private & HCF which means you will get more back from your private health insurance. For your convenience, we also offer on-the-spot claiming through our HICAPS facility.
